K40 Laser Cutter Project

The mysterious 'Ian' donated a K40 laser cutter... at least parts of one.

 

After some inspection and research we realised that this is a major project. There is no controller, no laser mirrors, no bed and the water cooling and ventilation need significat setting up.

We think these tasks will be needed to get this laser cutter up and running:

• Procure and fit Arduino/grbl controller

• Connect and setup motor control

• Add safety interlocks

• 3D print, fit and adjust mirror mounts

• Install material bed

• Hook up water cooling and ventilation
